Two nights and three days would be what awaited Dan and the group at one of our favourite venues, Coombewood Fishery, with everyone present getting super excited for their session to come. The fishery had been producing well in the weeks prior, and there was even a little bit of competetion brewing, with the guys deciding that whoever had the biggest fish, would get the pot of money that everyone provided to.
The people on this session joining Dan, are regulars Shane and Nick, with their friends Gordon and Greg, and the guys did not dissapoint with the haul of fish that they caught over the 3 days. Coombewood is perfect for this type of session, as everyone is close by, so if you are looking for a social venue to fish with some friends, Coombeewood Fishery is the perfect place to visit and bag yourself some cracking Carp or Catfish.
Everyone had success on this session however it was definately a ”Shane Show”, as Shane absolutely smashed it, catching carp after carp, and even managing to hook and catch one of his target species for the session. It definately suprised Shane with the power, often being compared to a small catfish run, but with a little patience, Shane ended up bagging his first ever Grass Carp and new PB sitting at a whopping 18.10 LB!
Congratulations Shane, what an achievement to have and story to tell people, and we have it on video for you too along with the other amazing fish that had been caught from all the whole group. Archie, our new king, experienced his first ever fishing trip with Dad, Uncle Dan and Uncle Brad, and he absolutely loved the whole day and caught a Tench!
